Isass.exe-Application error

My Dell 9100 will not start up. Everytime I go to start it windows sceen comes up then a box which says Isass.exe-Aplication error. I then click on terminate the aplication twice and then it goes to a black screen with only the arrow showing.
Anyone have any suggestions? I am running Norton System Works and Firewall, but think a virus made it in.
Thanks in advance

Have you tried booting into safe mode (With Networking) and running a virus scan after performing an update?

To get into Safe Mode With Networking you must push the F8 during bootup. It will then display a list of options to choose from.

It sounds like you have the Sasser virus. Are you able to get into the recovery console? If so, try to delete the following file -> C:\Windows\avserve.exe
