MS Fax Console
MS fax console does not recognize or list modem or Dell AIO Printer A940. Communications port is (Com-1), Printer is EPC Printer Port (LPT-1), & modem is Port (Com-3). When I query modem in diagnostics it states that the port the modem is attached to could not be opened. It states this could be the result of a hardware conflict. Then directs me back to device manager,which says everything is enabled and functioning properly. Does anyone have any ideas?

Is the modem a telephone fax modem (not a cable/dsl modem) that is connected to the telephone jack with the fax software installed? Read this: http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dsn/en/document?c=us&l=en&s=gen&dn=1078184 Your printer has a USB connection, not LPT.
