McAfee Proxy Service Module Stopped Working And Was Shut Down

Does any one have any solution to the problem where you get the error message: McAfee Proxy Service Module Stopped Working and Was Shut Down. This seems to be a problem with Windows Vista and McAfee Security Center. I am Running Windows Vista Home Premium on a Dell Dimension 5150   McAfee Explination for the problem: There have been a significant number of reports for crashes on McAdaptr and McApFilt in all versions of SpamKiller 8.x, especially on Vista. This is caused by incorrect shutdown of the McProxy.exe program, and is being addressed in McAfee Anti-Spam 9.0. You answered your own question I think. Upgrade your anti-spam software to version 9.0   ' and is being addressed in McAfee Anti-Spam 9.0.'

Im running SC 2007 and am having the same problems. I have gone through the hoops and was told by a mcafee software developer that 2008 would address this app crash issue. What version of SC are you using????? I am waiting on Dell to release 2008 to its Notebook users!

I hope this issue is not still aparent in SC 2008!
