Media Center does not detect TV tuner

Hi,

      I have windows xp media center 2005 and I want to use it with my "TEAC" external TV tuner. The tuner works fine when I use it with the software which comes with the hardware. But when I try to use the TV tuner with my windows media center, the hardware is not detected. It say "The tuner hardware is either malfunctioning or not installed. Please ensure that both the tuner hardware and a valid tuner hardware driver are installed".

 

Can someone please help me resolve this issue.
