Missing drivers
I have reinstalled windows xp sp2, i did not have the original drivers that came with my laptop. I reinstalled some od the drivers from Dell.com but still I have a couple of problems:
My sreen is not sharp as it used to be
In the device manager I have the following conflicts under other devices:
Base system device
Base system device
Base system device
BCM 2045
Ethernet controller
Modem device on high definition Audio Bus
SM Bus controller
Video controller
Video controller (VGA Compatible)
Dell Inspiron/ e1505
Windows XP SP2
15.4 wide screen

It looks like you did not install all fo the dirvers and you didn't install them in the correct order. The chipset drivers absolutely must be the first drivers installed, as Windows cannot recognize nor properly install drivers for many other devices if the chipset drivers are not installed first. See the following document on installation of drivers:

You can try installing the chipset drivers now, but it ususally doesn't work, so you may have to start over - reinstalling Windows, then installing the drivers in the correct order.
