Need help completely re-installing Windows XP Media Center Edition (like when it was shipped)

Hey guys, I've been having troubles trying to re-install Windows XP Media Center Edition. I know there is a thing already on my computer called Image Restore, I just don't know how to use it. I have a re-installation disk but when I use it I really don't know what to do. It won't let me delete the biggest partition in order to re-install. I want to completely wipe everything off my computer and restore it to its original state when it was shipped to me.

If it applies, it is installed on your system in a partition.

Then read this article.

Alright! Thanks guys, all I needed to know was the whole "Press Ctrl and F11 at start up."  that was amazingly easy.  When I saw the first link I was given, I got very confused, lol.  I followed like the first step and that was it.  Thanks.

OK, I will admit it is a good link, but does it not get down to personal preference on what procedure to follow? I have saved this link for future use.

Thanks

http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dsn/en/document?c=us&l=en&s=gen&dn=TT1089352   Click on link and scroll down to # 5a for instructions.  Link that Fudgieguy takes you on a long ride, and the one above is better in my opinion.  I hate it when Dell messes around and makes it harder to find stuff on this site....

fudgieguys ...  The link provided saves everyone from going through the hoop, and finding the way to use Symantec restore a little bit faster, or in my case a lot faster.  Dell used to have this by clicking on just one link, but now, they went ahead, and buried it under layers of clicking.  For the first timers this is hard to find.  Wish Dell would just leave things simple.  No reflection on you fudgieguys.  You did help out, but Dell did not by doing this.

If the Moderator is watching, please ask those that did this to us, to eliminate the searching, and make it easier for everyone.....

Thanks Denny for the additional link.  As always you are on top of ways to help us.   Thank you  :smileywink:

OK, I get it. I'm sure we are all here to help those who need it.

Hope I did not offend anyone with my comments.

Thanks
