OPTIPLEX 380 and Windows 8
What specifically about the Optiplex 380, will not allow it to upgrade to Windows 8? I just purchased this machine in July 2012, and it won't update. I see from a link Microsoft found, that this machine is not compatible with Windows 8. Is it a specific driver? Is there a fix or download that will allow it to upgrade?

Did you update to the latest BIOS A07 http://ftp.dell.com/FOLDER00657520M/1/O380-A07.exe before attempting to upgrade to Windows 8?
Did you attempt installation via a Clean Install see my wiki Windows Reinstallation: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/software-os/f/3524/t/19480753.aspx

I'm currently having the same problem. I tried that 07 Bios update but it got stuck at the windows 8 installer slash screen Logo. I'm not sure if there's been a update since the OP asked. But if anyone has had a successful install and could reply that would be great.
