Photo slideshow not working

I have a new Studio 540 running Vista and the Photo slideshow doesnt work. I just get a black screen with a 'Loading' logo and nothing more happens. Also, which I assume is related, the Photos screensaver doesnt work either. When you choose the photo screensaver the window shows the photos changing as expected, but press Preview and you just get a black screen.

Any help appreciated.
