Possible to completely reload my computer?

I've had my Dell for a few years and over that time it has slowed considerably and I suspect I have a virus or two.  I have already followed the process of deleting unnecessary files and start-ups and defraged with little improvement.  Is it possible to completely blow out all the data I have and start fresh like it was when I took my computer out of the box?  Thanks.
