Problem when reinstalling XP Media Center
Hi,
I just got a new hard drive. I reformatted it and installed XP Media Center edition. When it did the final restart it went to the log in window and I got the flashing message not to push any keys, I promise I didn't. However after about 1 hr, I did. The only errors I received is that a bunch of the pictures bundled with the media center didn't install. Is there a way to go back and get them from the cd. What location they may be?
Thanks,
John

traumajohn,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
Reinstall Media Center to see if it will complete the install.

Anyone have any idea if this suggestion worked? I'm having the exact same issue with my 9300.
Does re-re-installing take care of it?

Hi,
Yes it did. I tried to rip the missing items from the cd but that didn't work. Since I wasn't sure what else was missing, I decided to reinstall completely and it worked the second time.
