Reinstall disk and Recovery Disk
Hi I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 15 laptop that is preinstalled with Windows 8. Under the "Backup and Recovery Manager tool" there are two options. One to create a Reinstall disk (factory setting) and the other to create a Recovery Disk.
1. First question, are they both same?
2. I was able to successfully create the Reinstall Disk across 3 DVD's, but when I try and create the Recovery Disk it asks for an External Drive with minimum 100Gb disk space!!! It does not allow be to create a Recovery Disk on a DVD. Is this the standard behavior?
Thanks

This is a Dell forum and not a HP forum. You need to contact HP India support to procure a Reinstallation DVD/USB:
http://www8.hp.com/in/en/contact-hp/contact.html
I am not sure on HPs policies for installation media. I think they usually ship out media identical to the factory settings which hence have all the flaws of the factory settings and don't allow clean installation:

Tell them that you wish to have proper installation media for clean installation. If you get a proper Reinstallation DVD/USB you may follow Windows Reinstallation Guide/A Clean Install of Windows 8.1:

Steps will be different in a HP compared to a Dell e.g. F12 at the BIOS screen may be different and you will have to get your drivers from HP but the installation procedure should be similar.
