Skype hangs running on WIndows 7 (on a Adamo 13 notebook) ...

Sype 4.1 indicates that it is compatible with Windows 7 yet when I try to run it on my new Adamo 13 it typically works for a minute or so and then just hangs.  When I close Skype and try re-launch, the Skype dialog indicates that I'm already logged in and cannot open.  Upon shutting down the computer, I observe that explore.exe always has to be forced closed.

If anyone has any idea how to resolev this, please advise.
