Software download space error

I am trying to install a new Dell 944 printer and it says that there is not enough space on the target drive.  My hard drive letter is "I".  "C" got changed to a flash drive when I changed out the hard drive.  It does not specifically say that it is trying to use "C" but thats they only explaination I can come up with.  How can I point the software to "I" which has plenty of space?
