Studio 1735 & Win 7 - Dell Drivers needed?

Hello there,
i'd like to install Windows 7 on my Studio 1735.

Questions are:

- Do i have to install the, quite old, Dell Notebook System Software driver?

- Do i have to install the Chipset drivers from the Dell Download page or can i download the newer ones from Intel.com?

- What about the ATI HD 3650 Video drivers, should i use the , old,  ones´from the Dell Download page or can i find newer ones from ATI?

- can i just use the drivers delivered with Win 7 and use Windows update for some uninstalled devices?

What are your experiences on installing Win7 on a Studio 17(35), by the way?

Thanks a lot

Daniel

Hi Daniel, i have installed Win 7 Pro retail on my system, and needed no drivers for my dell system. The only drivers that were needed, were for my 3rd party external hardware. Dell will in time release Win 7 drivers for those who need them, ie those upgrading with a dell upgrade disc, the retail version carry a lot of drivers.

But the question(s) remain...

Does the Windows 7 Dell OEM Upgrade disk have these drivers?

Do we still need the notebook utility? Vista and systems before have them but no download available for Windows 7.

Do we still need the Chipset drivers? I would imagine you still need these drivers.

I was researching the Studio 1737 Windows 7 64-bit system and found only some of the drivers.
