Upgrading from W7 to W10 on an E6230

I installed the latest drivers and BIOS (A15), and put the W10 upgrade software on a USB drive using Rufus to make it .iso.  Booted up in W7 and selected setup on the USB.  It started with the following screen:

It rebooted at about 24% and again at about 75%, but got this message:

Followed by:

Anti-virus software has been removed.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

I would retry the installation by downloading the upgrade and running from the computer, not a USB flash drive. Others have had problems using the USB process, and it's not necessary. Was meant by Microsoft to be used to install on a different computer that couldn't download the program.

I tried that initially, but  I get this after the download.  I tried again with the same result.

Try a clean installation and not an upgrade install...

A clean install of Windows means all you get is Windows. EVERYTHING is lost.

Since you never upgraded to windows 8, skip the win 10 upgrade if your model is not on the Dell Approved upgrade list. Wait until you replace the computer. There can be problems with drivers on win7 laptops.

If you want to try to upgrade anyway, uninstall any 3rd party Security software and 3rd party anti virus. Win 10 will not upgrade with those programs installed.
