Using snipping tool on dell Inspiron E1705/vista Home Premium

When I take a full screen capture or take a "snip" around the center of the screen the resulting capture appears on two pages, the left half on page one and the right half on page two! I can reduce the image 50% and get it all on one page but the result is usually unclear. I've been looking around other forums and this seems to be an unknown issue. I was wondering if this is not a Dell Laptop issue? or something to do with settings?

I ran all Dell diagnostics and all appears to be OK. Anyone with an idea for me?

PrintScreen from keyboard results are the same. When I press the PrintScrn key open and Paste in Paint/select Print Preview shows half the screen capture on page one and half on page two. This really has me bugged now!
