Windows 7 32-bit problems

Yes, I ran Win 7 Upgrade Advisor and it said I was able to update!

I go onto Drivers and Downloads on the website but when i download it... it says that all my drivers are up to date...

Ive done that several times now... and it says that:

There are no files to download... when I open it.

Its really unusual...

I am not sure what system you are installing Win 7 but it needs to update the bios. Did you check to see if there are any bios updates on the Dell download page for your system? Did you run the Microsoft  Win 7 Upgrade Advisor on this system to see if Win 7 will run?

I have the same problem with my Inspiron 1720. The Win 7 Upgrade Advisor states that my system meets all the requirements for the update. I spent my hard earned money on the Premium Upgrade and now I can't install it due to BIOS version. I have the latest BIOS version for the 1720!

Curtfell I have the same notebook and it gives me the same message. did you get it to work yet?? let me know.

I am having the same issues:

Windows cannot be installed on this computer with the current system BIOS version. Contact your computer manufacturer for a BIOS update, install the update, and then start Windows installation again. This is what I get I tried updating the BIOS for A08 but it did not fix it.  This is really ridiculous!

Have your tried updating the BIOS to A09? Maybe this will fix your probs:

I have the same problem. Did you figure out how to download this Bios?  I can download it, but the file says it's empty with the same error msg....

I'm having the same problem. I also have an Inspiron 1720 and in order to update to Windows 7 Ultimate, I need to update my BIOS. I currently have Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A07. I've tried updating the BIOS to A09 and A12 but the Dell Driver Download Manager says there are no files to download. I'd love to have a live chat but apparently my warranty for that has expired so I would love an answer if anyone knows what to do. Thanks.

Yep, I uninstalled the Download Manager and used IE and it worked also. Thanks.
