Windows 7 - RunDLL Problems

I have a Inspiron i1764 running Windows 7.

Whenever I start up my computer and log in,

(Everything still works fine but it is rather annoying)

A window always pops up and it says:

"RunDLL

There was a problem starting winadt32.rom

The specified module could not be found."

Please help me out!

-Thanks

Are you sure it's a problem with "winadt32.rom" ? Google doesn't find a single entry with that name or just winadt32 without the .rom.

That suggests either you mis-typed it, or maybe there's malware on this system. :emotion-3:

Here is a link to a screen shot of what the window looks like and what it says:

Hard to know what the problem is if google ca't find that file name.  Suggest you scan for malware.

What happens when you boot in Safe Mode?

Guten tag!

I could not find anyway to fix it, so I just reinstalled Windows 7 with the disks my computer came with.

Since I reinstalled Windows 7, It does not come up anymore when I log on.

Hello!

I have an solution for that problem! It is Malware!

in the msconfig is an entry it calls "MSSMSGS". In this command is the name winadt32.rom. When i google "mssmsgs" it shows some Trojans with similar evidence designations such as winxip32.rom. With the program "malwarebytes anti-malware" the Malware is quickly removed.
