Windows 7 Upgrade Disk doesn't autorun/autoplay in Vista

Dell Latitude D820

Running Vista business/professional.

I couldn't get the Windows 7 Upgrade Disk to autorun / autoplay in Vista.

Windows 7 Upgrade Disk would only show a readme file that said:

"This disc contains a "UDF" file system and requires an operating system that supports the ISO-13346 "UDF" file system specification."

It took me at least 6 hours to figure out the following simple solution:

1) Open my computer

2) Right click on your DVD drive.

3) Enable "burn to disk"

Now, the startup.exe file is visible and startable.

AlexCouve,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

You will need to boot to the Win 7 Disc to install.
