Windows Movie Maker

I have 2 questions...

1.) When I make a project under the windows movie maker and then turn it into a movie that can play under windows media player the image becomes distorted (you can like see the blocks) and the music on it sounds muffled. Does anyone know how to make stay as how it was when it was under windows movie maker?

2.) Since I tried doing what I described above I then tried to burn the project (not the final movie) onto a disc and send it to my laptop but when I try to open it under windows movie maker it says it can not find a folder. Does anyone know how to open it on a different computer?

If anyone can answer both or even just one that would be a great help.
