Windows Sidebar Support
When I start my laptop, nothing happens with automatically starting up the sidebar. When I manually open it, nothing happens except the toolbar icon comes next to the bottom-right clock. Then when I hover my mouse over it to click it, it dissapears...The properties are set right and everything, but what is going on? Why can I not use my sidebar?

Control Panel/Sidebar; check to see if "Start Sidebar when Windows starts" is checked.

Here's a link to a site that might help. Sounds like the problem that you are having and it deals with java dll's and a McAffee update.
The solution is in post #9 but if you keep reading on page 2 others have more detailed instructions.

You might have to do a Windows reinstall factory image or you could try System Restore to when you knew that it worked. I searched for a reinstall of just the Sidebar but it seems that it's part of the OS and not a seperate program.
Too bad.
