Windows Update doesnt work New Inspiron 15 with Windows 7 and Mcafee
There is a shield with an x when I go to Windows Update. It seems to attempt to search but after hours it just keeps searching. Ive tried various "fixes" for Windows Update but nothing changes.

Hi John,
After the Jesse L suggestions reset option is not working. No other solutions. Re-install the operating system using Clean Installation Method.

Windows 7 Update has been broken for about half a year now... Use the WSUS Offline Update:

Hi,
I have an xps8900, win7 pro that won't download anything...tried both of these fixes...neither work. It's been 3 months since I bought this computer and I haven't found anything that works so far...very frustrating.
