Windows Vista and Aol

I have an Inspiron 1501 and Windows Vista.  I have Aol 9.0 VR and I am on Dial up.  My problem is I can not stay connected.  I get cut off all the time.  I have done all the things AOL has told me but still does it.  I play the online games through Pogo and can not stay connected to complete games.  It has gotten very frustrating.  Can some one help????Please
