Windows installation disc
Hello,
I am thinking about purchasing a Dell notebook. However, I am mainly a Linux user who occasionally uses windows.
I normally use a windows installation disc to re-format a computer's hard drive and install windows from the beginning, install drivers from the computer's manufacturer, then install a Linux distribution in a different partition.
Is this possible with a Dell notebook? Do I have access to a windows installation disc that will work with the purchased license for windows, as well as the appropriate drivers?
Please let me know how I should go about doing this.

Keep your Windows COA intact then you may use a retail .iso and phone activation see:

In conjunction with:

A Dell notebook is no different than any other notebook - or computer, for that matter - when it comes to performing a clean install. You just need to make sure you have the media - either request it when you buy it, request it after you receive it, or use Retail media and activate with the PK over the phone.
