Wireless 1390 Drivers.

Come on guys, this is your most popular card, and the default option for your laptops and you guys do not have a driver ready yet... Is there any word on when this driver will be available as it is the only thing holding me back from my upgrade that I need to have for work as they have already begun rolling out the new OS and any employees that want to be mobile need to have a copy of ultimate with bit locker or no data for us. So come on now, even if you have one in beta you should release it, just to give us that are desperate something, it's not like you havent had a good chunk of time to get this done.

Hi Skuggi,
What you need is R141336.exe. It's part of the package shipping with the 1505.
Come to think of it, when I re-installed vista, I was able to get on the internet before I loaded the driver. It must be part of vista.

I can confirm that the WIreless 1390 works out of the chute with Vista... No problems on mine.

Well, when I tried the beta it was unable to work, The upgrade adviser also lists it as a problem. And no vista drivers were listed under the site, is this driver only included on recently purchased e1505's or is it somewhere else on the website here?

You obviously missed the point of my post above... Vista has a driver in the OS for the Wireless 1390 card.... It worked right as soon as I installed Vista No additional driver was needed.

Yes, Vista has built-in driver support for the 1390 card.  However there are a few of us that require the Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility that comes packaged with the Dell driver to be able to use wireless at work (security requirements).  Does the driver package for the 1505 have a working Dell Wireless client (b/c the packaged version for the Latitude D620 does not work) for Vista?

So now Dell has released R151522.exe and it installs the Dell utility.  :)  However when I am setting up security the Username/Password tab does not have the boxes so you can manually specify your domain/username and password.  Here is a screenshot:

Any suggestions?  I turned off UAC thinking that may be the culprit.  The card is actually a 1370.  the only 1390 I have access to is in my production laptop (Latitude D620), which I'm not putting Vista on...at least not for a long while.

So I installed Vista on my D620 (with a 1390 wireless card) and I had the same issue as before.  Was this driver thoroughly tested (or even tested at all)?  I've tried it on both Vista Business and Enterprise (VLA versions) and get the same issue.  I haven't tried it with a retail version.

Anyone?!?

dustybottoms,
I also have same problem. I have posted my problem in the forum but it seem that Dell ignored my post. I posted it few days ago. But until now, I get no reply
