Back in the ancient days of DOS, CD drivers required special drivers. Current computers rely on Windows to supply the drivers for CD drives. I seriously doubt that you will ever find a driver for that drive other than the one included in Windows.
Thanks, Steve. It's just hard to accept that a 4-5 year old generic driver will result in optimal performance from a current drive device. Guess I'll have to assume the firmware in the device will make all OK, but I don't really believe that. I also don't believe Dell is making a best effort in this area.
