Can anyone tell me how to delete my windows vista operating system so I can reinstall windows xp?

I have a Dell dimension 3000. I've upgraded my memory to 2gb, and my graphics card to a radeon x1550. will this work with xp?

Yes, that is more than enough for XP.

You can just follow these instructions for installing XP, no need to remove Vista first, XP setup will do that for you.

When you get to the "partitioning" part of XP setup, just delete the C partition, then install XP on the unallocated partition created by deleting C.

Hi, my sister got a 530S a few months ago and is having too much trouble trying to learn how to use the Vista OS that came on her computer.

If XP is installed over Vista will she have anything left of the programs/files that have been added using Vista?

Hope it's Ok to post this here.

You cannot install XP "over" Vista, If you install XP you will lose everything.
