dell communications
Just bought studio laptop. Message keeps popping up telling me to wait while wndows configures dell communications. Then another one pops up telling me to insert the "Dell communications disk" because the feature you are trying to use is on a cd rom or other removable disk that is not available. What is the "Dell communications disk?" Please reply.

Same problem here, and then a opaque white square remains on the desktop

okay i did some fiddling and found that there are several programs keyed for startup from Dell. With astartup utility program (freeware-CodeStuff Starter) I disabled both DellComms and DellSupportCenter. No more screens as noted above. I suspect these programs, at least the first one, either monitors problems and/or communicates with Dell or helps Dell remotely fix your PC. I'll have to find out more. But that nag screens are Gone! But obviously we are missing some support files for that program.......
