firefox 1.5.0.4 and dell forum problem

Hi

Not sure if this is a ideal place to post but anyway

I'm curious is anyone else who is using firefox 1.5.0.4 to browse the dell forums are having issues with the page displaying correctly? Which results in not being able to click the reply button to forum posts.  I think it has to do with javascript but i'm not sure. I have updated java to 1.5.0 build1.5.0_07 "latest verson" and also uninstalled and reinstalled firefox without success, i turned my firewall off and the firefox plugin noscript too but still it doesn't work...

if anyone has any suggestions it would be cool,, i don't want to revert to using internet destroyer which is tab-less

Did you check

Tools--options-content?? Make sure Javascript is enabled??

I am using 1.5.0.4 and Firefox works fine..

I call IE "Internet Exploiter" , lol

But I use it at certain sites that require it. But IE7 is nice, but still in beta.

i click and disabled it and re-enabled and it let me open up the reply for once.. although i don't think its fixed.. the blue heading where desktop notebooks etc has a black background instead of blue ... i only use internet destroyer for router settings .. i might try ie 7 beta although i hate betas as much as i hate ie lol

could it be my java? i installed the latest verson and i think its all been stuffed up since then... but then some programs require the latest java:( like limewire:(( which is the reason i updated arggg

i tried the uninstall reinstall of it... i just diabled netlimiter on firefox which shapes the incoming to 10kb/sec and uploading to 2kb/sec and it loaded correctly lol.... i only use net limiter because my 3.5mbit can chew my 10gb data cap in a day lol and then i'm back to 64kb

i've never had this problem before either in firefox...

thanks for your replys too!

Firefox works fine for me with the default settings.  Try uninstalling it and reinstalling it.

Many of the forum's features are only supported in IE6, like the WYSIWYG editor.  It doesn't work in Firefox or IE7 beta.....at least not yet.

explorer 7 looks alright, though it doesn't seem to have any file, edit, view, etc menu header just the tabs... and some bloatware anti spyware thing which crashed me lol

I don't know for sure, but the difference in the impedence really shouldn't be a major problem.  If anything, there MAY be a slight loss in volume level but you can make that up with the volume control.

I've had everything from my "recording studio" headphones to cheapies connected to my system and didn't really notice any volume level difference (obviously the better headphones had better fidelity).

Are you asking me klbf? Oh pages take forever to load, and the thing up in the right just sits there and spining around and around for long time. Opera loads faster then firefox. I am on a fast connection T-3 here at the office, And I would rather use a differant browser then everyone else, when everyone uses the same browsers and goes to websites, it slows everything down, even slows down firefox...plus the browser is going to everyone now. I hear there is another browser out need to write it down maybe jump to that one next.
