"There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive."

I recently purchased the XPS 400 which came with XP Media Center.  My problem is that when I right click on the desktop to go into "properties" I get a critical dialog which states: "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive." and has a Cancel, Try Again and Continue buttons.  When I push okay after desktop settings, the dialog box appears again.  It seems to be continous and redundant.  I've done research about this matter on the internet and it seems that it is a common problem with Windows XP Media Center associated with Norton/Security Suite.  In any case, how can I resolve this problem because it is quite annoying.
