recover activation key windows 8.1
hello, I have an inspiron 5547 and my hdd just crashed. i want to know how can i to obtain the activation windows key in the aim to resintal windows. Thanks

Thank you for writing to us!
We would suggest you use the Dell OEM cd's or Dell recovery image which wont ask you for the product key.

Indeed, I have at home a USB key containing dell windows 8.1. However, I would also recover the license in order to transfer it on another pc.

The license is OEM. The product key is embedded in the UEFI BIOS and tied to the motherboard. The license cannot be transferred.
