vista edition upgrade

hey me havin inspirion 6400 with VISTA HOME PREMIUM, is it possible to upgarde to VISTA ULTIMATE via dell... for that do i have to pay entire cost or any reduced cost... pls guide me for this.. i'm from india....... pls i need it..............

You have to do it through microsoft, and then you'll lose you os support from dell. Dell only supports what was included on the pc when bought and the vista express upgrade

That's not exactly true. Dell support is for the hardware, not software. So your guarantee will not be affected.

I have Ultimate, and in my humble opinion, its not worth the upgrade.  Premium is just fine for your needs

True... There is no benefit at all. Dell customers with Vista preinstalled have the Quick Restore function supplied by Dell. The only difference between Vista Home Premium and Vista Ultimate is the Quick Restore supplied by Microsoft.

one small doubt,,, will DELL will not help me to update my os from Premium to ULTIMATE, such as in reduced price or any thing... if to upgrade what i have to do actually?
