WDM and strange discovery of WYSE AIO 5040

Problem 1 :
I recently installed WDM 5.7.2 to discover all my WYSE AIO 5040 thinclients on my network ( to troubleshoot my strange "secondary display not working" on some devices) is behaving strangely :
- WDM did detect only 2 out of my 6 almost identical models (all are Wyse AIO 5040 for sure)

- All clients are connected to the same LAN and I can ping them from other machine easily

So why I can not discover the other 4 WYSE clients?

Problem 2 -.....I am trying to connect these clients to WDM, to centrally manage and deploy certain features and settings, especially to check : WHY 2 of my 6 WYSE clients are unable to SPAN the screen to DUALSCREEN - the secondary screen does not work with them, even they are OK (Wyse clients were bought as secondhand, so I suspect the previous admin might have blocked this in some deeper firmware settings (BIOS doesnt have this option at all)....Anybody please HELP, I thought with these thinclients my life will be much easier...

1) WDM is EOL.   It has been replaced by Wyse Management Suite.

2) WYSE devices are not "discovered" by the management console (WDM or WMS).  They are told where to go find their management console by either DHCP Option tags, DNS_SRV records, or manually on the thin client.

3) Check and be sure your thin clients are on the same firmware version if you expect the same behavior.

See Page 17 of the Quick start guide.

Hi, thanks. I uninstalled the WDM and installed WDS...but seems it is for SERVER 2019 only?...really?On Dell support website there is lack of information for supported OS....so I am stuck still.....I was hoping the Wyse Thinclient management will be more "windows " independent.....Any way how to make it work ideally on Win7 ?

All WMS Documentation is available on the support site

The  WMS Quick start guide lists the pre-requisites 2012 R2, 2016 and 2019 are all supported

https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/wyse-wms_install-guide7_en-us.pdf

The Admin guide lists support Windows, ThinOS and Linux versions

https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/wyse-wms_administrator-guide16_en-us.pdf

I am not sure I understand this question, could you elaborate a bit?
