WMS fails to upgrade from 1.2 to 1.3

Hi everyone,

I went to go update WMS from 1.2 to 1.3 and this seem to keep occuring when we start the process:

 See This

I have tryed restarting the Dell services, but it didn't help.

I runs without any issues on 1.2, so it shouldn't be a database issue in regards to connection if you ask me, but i guess i might be wrong.

Anyone got a quick solution to this?

I have not seen that.   I would suggest opening a support ticket.

I have become aware of some instances of upgrades failing with this error.  The root cause was that when the upgrade from 1.1>1.2 occurred the registry under certain circumstances failed to reflect that the DB was at the 1.2 level.  Everything functioned fine, but when you went to upgrade to 1.3 it failed.

Ask support to review the registry to see if this is the case.  If it is, they know the fix.

Correct, and i have already found the correct replacement that solves the issue, see below:

WMS Upgrade Failure – WMS Portal / Installed Version mismatch Failed upgrade from 1.1 to 1.2 could result in WMS successfully upgraded to 1.2 while Windows mistakenly shows the previous WMS 1.1 version is installed. Installer will fail to match these versions when upgradeing to 1.3, resulting in “Setup could not retrieve database details” error similar to beta/demo build mismatch Can be resolved by manually updating registry for installed applications to match the expected WMS 1.2 version Add WMS 1.2 registry entry:

Correct, it was related to a reg key, solution here
