Typing Sporadic with PocketCloud Free
Typing Sporadic with PocketCloud Free
OS: Ubuntu Linux 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat)
Phone: Verizon Motorola Droid running Android 2.2.1
VNC Server: x11vnc 0.9.10 lasmod: 2010-04-28 (using -localhost and tunneling through openssh-server)
SSHServer: v5.5p1
SSH Clients: ConnectBot (Android, with a local port forward) and ssh v5.5p1 for computer tests.
I have connected with another Linux machine using the TightVNC 'vncviewer' available from the repositories, with extraordinary performance. However, when I connect with PocketCloud, I have a problem with keyboard input that makes the whole program unusable.
So what happens? Well, the short answer is: I think the keyboard stops working. When you first start typing, several letters are amiss, then it seems like the whole emulated keyboard stops working all together. Here's what I have tried:
Connecting without/without ssh tunneling with vncviewer for Linux - Works as expected
Connecting with another client (Android VNC) both tunneled non-tunneled - Works
Connecting with/without SSH tunneling using PocketCloud - Keyboard issues
For all of these cases, I have used the same options in x11vnc, so there's nothing wrong with it.
This leads me to believe that this is a PocketCloud-specific issue.
Anybody else have any similar issues?

me too
I have the same problem with the commercial edition. You will find it lets you enter each letter once and only once. Makes it unusable for me also. I am really disappointed and ripped off!
