custom screen resolution problem

I have been using PCPro for over a year running at a resolution of 3400x1200 without any problem. Suddenly, a few weeks ago, the app stopped supporting this resolution and keep screwing up my window placement. My host is Windows 8 Server. Nothing on my end changed, so I assume either the app was broken as a result of an update, or maybe it thinks I am not authorized to run the pro version. This is a big problem for me as I cannot keep messing up my desktop every time I run the app. Please tell me there is a simple reason why this has happened.
