Hi Guys,
Newbie to the forum, so hi all ;-)
I'm looking at a new company build, and will be mostly going down the vm/xen route, and am obviously looking at cloud etc.
What i cant see, is anybody making next gen thin/zero/cloud pc's that can be powered by poe+.
(i understand voip phones/access points/video cams can be powered by poe)
Are Wyse looking at this technology ??
As it seems its hits the GREEN Cloud computing button.... i mean it would be a dream to get rid of those rotten old pc/mac/thin client etc etc power cables...

Hmm i thought POE+ had enough power for cpu/screen/keyb/mouse .. check these out

The IEEE 802.3at-2009 PoE standard, also known as PoE+ or PoE plus, provides up to 25.5 W of power. Some vendors have announced products that claim to comply with the 802.3at standard and offer up to 51 W of power over a single cable by utilizing all four pairs in the Cat.5 cable
So where does Wyse stand with this ??

Cisco is providing PoE capabilities to their zero client product called VXC http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/...gory_Home.html
Cisco also has a UPOE blade in their Catalyst 4500 LAN Switch that provided 60W per port for clients such as this one ->http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/coll...c22_676338.pdf
