rdp disorder client wyse 5040

Hello, The rdp client of the Wyse 5040 AIO ThinClient versions (TCX.i386.pkg V7.1.41853; RTME.i386.pkg V2.5.49272; FR.i386.pkg V1.24.51190; JVDI.i386.pkg V12.1.51895) crashed when connecting to the server that is running Debian Stretch with the xrdp and xorgxrdp layer (versions 0.9.1-9+deb9u3). For this to work I had to disable the rdpsnd channel but I then no more sound on the console. The server works perfectly with RDP clients on Linux, Mac-OS and of course Windows sound module included. Could you tell me how to proceed or integrate the fix this bug, if there is a bug in the next release of ThinClient, to solve this problem. By thanking you. With kind regards.

There appear to be two issues involved here. The first one is already 'fixed' and should likely be included in xrdp 0.9.12 when it's released. This fix should allow you to re-enable the rdpsnd channel and have the Wyse clients work OK.

The other issue is that the Wyse clients only support ADPCM audio, which isn't (yet) supported by xrdp. This seems to be a defect on the Wyse side, as 'regular' PCM support is noted as required in the MSRDP specifications  and that is supported by xrdp (see details in link below)

Hope that helps
