Wyse Thin OS and printers

Wyse Thin OS and printers

We are using wyse thin OS thin clients with HP Color LaserJet CP2025n. The thin client picks up the printer only if we leave the Printer Identification field blank through the wnos.ini.

If we change the printer identification to be HP Color LaserJet CP2025n...then citrix doesn't pick up the printer at all in the published applications.

If we leave the field blank it picks up the printer but only prints text.

We're using universal drivers, the 2025n driver is not installed on our servers.

Any ideas?

Have you tried using the model number in place of the actual printer name? Is this a local printer via USB or networked using AD? When it comes to network identification it may be using the model number name as a host name for identification. Just a thought.

Try looking at the WTOS Printing Guide (KB 22971) available at www.wyse.com/kb and you may also want to look intohttp://support.citrix.com/article/ctx110571 to verify that your printer is supported in a Citrix environment.
