DELL WYSE 5470 WiFi Profile deployed from WMS not working

My device is registered with the WMS server and I have a WiFi profile assigned to the Group the device belongs to but the device never connects, it will either say connecting and never connect or I put the password in manually and it will connect.  Manually entering the settings with or without the write filter are not retained either, even if the device is no longer managed by the WMS, switching users will cause the WiFi to disconnect as well.

We have the same issue exactly.  Did you find a fix for this?  The .xml file does work if we manually import it via command line on the 5470, but it doesn't work when we push that same .xml from WMS.  We have the same issue where we can't get it working in a way that persists beyond a reboot.

Found that you can't export the wireless profile as an .XML the normal Windows way (using Netsh wlan) that is documented all over the internet.  You have to use a Dell utility on the Windows Embedded machine.

  1. Go to, C:\Program files\Wyse\WDA\bin\ .
  2. Right-click the .exe file and select the Run as administrator option.
The   Wireless Profiles Password Editor  window is displayed.
  3. Click Browse and select the location to save the new XML profile.
  4. Click Save.
  5. From the Profiles drop-down list, select the wireless network.
Click   Change password to change the password if required.
  6. Click Export WIFI Profiles to save the profile.

I was then able to import it and it worked perfectly when deployed from WMS.
