Possible to shrink an Image to fit on a smaller R90L7?
Possible to shrink an Image to fit on a smaller R90L7?
I have images pulled from R90L7 units with 8GB hard drives.
I have some older R90L7 units back from when they only came with 4GB drives. Is it possible to shrink my 8GB-based image to fit on the 4GB R90L7?
Looking at the space the 8gb image takes up, less than half of it is actually full of data, the rest is blank space. So if I could delete the blank space and somehow set it to 4GB "mode" couldn't I theoretically push the Image to the 4gb devices?

You can try, but the images are only tested with the flash size they were created for. You may want to purchase an 8GB flash drive for the older models.

Thanks, I did not know that was an option. Where does one purchase an 8GB drive for an R90L7?
