Windows 7 SP1 for C90LE7 Thin Client
Windows 7 SP1 for C90LE7 Thin Client
Hi, I am new with the Thin Clients and now I have been given a few to work on and possibly many more will come. I need to install Windows Service Pack 1 on them and I thought you could use the standard SP1 for Windows 7 from Microsoft, but I am unable to do so. Everytime I try to run the executable I have a message saying: "SP1 setup can't identify the version of Windows on this computer" Should I upgrade the firmware or get the SP1 from somewhere else???
Thanks,
Jan.

Hi Jan,
You can not use this update because the servicepack can not be used for WES7. You can download a base image from wyse.com with SP1 intergrated. you can download WES 7 WFR2 Common Image
(2.09 GB) V9.02 B818 from http://wyse.com/serviceandsupport/su...20%28WES%29%29

I need some more help with this. So, I downloaded the file in the link above. I chose my thin client type and there are 3 files in the folder (bios, cmos, and commands). I try to burn a cd/dvd with the first 2 files and I am unable to do it because the "image file isn't valid".
My question is, what's the proper way to install this image?? I am a little lost and I could take some help with this.
THANK YOU!

Thanks mvsteen. I used the USB firmware tool and it worked just fine.

You need to use the right rsp file to register and import the image into WDM. After you imported the image you can distribute the image using WDM. You can also use the USB Firmware Tool if you don't have WDM running

Using the USB Firmware Tool probably the easiest.
