How can I tell what version of Intel Management Engine Fireware & Driver that my XPS 8930 has?
I received my new XPS 8930 and I want to install the latest BIOS and drivers. When I go to the Dell drivers page: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/xps-8930-desktop/drivers it shows the latest BIOS as being 1.0.2 (Oct 24, 2017). My computer came with BIOS 1.0.5 (Dec 12, 2017). I'm assuming I have a more recent BIOS so I skipped that one. But there are other urgent updates like the Intel Management Engine 11.x Firmware Updater and Intel Management Engine Interface Driver. How can I tell which version is on my computer? I don't want to risk installing a version lower than the one I already have. And I want to do it manually (without the Dell SupportAssist app). Anyone?

The updated BIOS 1.0.5 is supposed to to address security advisory INTEL SA 00086 CVE-2017-5705, CVE-2017-5708. In addition to the BIOS update there is also an update to the Intel ME and hence the updated version of the driver. You can determine the version of the driver using the Intel tool from here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27150?v=t
This tool determines if the security issue has been fixed and if you run the Intel-SA-00086-GUI.exe it will also tell you the version of the Intel ME.
