XPS 8700, GPU upgrade question
I haven't found an answer to my question looking thru the XPS 8700 threads.
I want to replace my GeForce 745GTX 4G card with something I don't have to lower all my games graphics to poor with (games like Rust, Conan Exiles, Miscreated etc). What is the best power supply and GF card I can install without having issues? Or is there no hope and I should look into buying a better Dell? I will also mention that my knowledge of this is basic, so simple answer would be appreciated. Thank you!

Without changing your power supply, you could upgrade to a GTX 1060 which requires a 400W PSU (you have a 460W PSU). Now the 1060 requires a 6 pin power plug from the PSU, which you might not have but adapters are available. Or if you want to save a bit of money, go with the GTX 1050Ti which requires no power plug at all (on most all of the 1050 cards) and works fine with a 300W PSU. Either card is a huge upgrade over yours.
