XPS 8700, Windows 7, need DW1703 driver
Hello Everyone,
Attached is an image of the wifi card in my computer.
A while ago I lost the driver to this wifi card and it no longer works.
(Did a fresh install of windows 7 on a brand new SSD)
I tried to download the driver from Dell but failed.
Does anyone who has experience with these wifi cards for desktop know where to look for the right driver?
I'm currently using one of the those usb- WIfI sticks from Netgear.
It does the job, but I'd like the use of my Built-in WiFi card back.
I tried installing This But it failed Saying It "cannot install on this platform"
I also tried This, but had the same problem.
Can anyone please direct me to the proper driver download?
Feel free to ask me questions or if you need anything else.

It would help if you told us what mode of Dell XPS you have. Did you try going to dell.com/support and entering your Service Tag to find the correct driver? You should be able to see the original configuration and the current configuration of your system. Also have you looked in Device Manager to determine if Windows has detected the WiFi card to see if it lists the model info and installed a Windows driver? You could also install a program like HWiNFO64 to detect the WiFi card and then look on the Internet for a driver for that card.

Yes, always post the exact PC model and version of Windows.
@inverno4661 - From the label on the card, you have a Dell Wireless 1703 802.11 a/g/n + Bluetooth card, but the drivers you tried are for Win 7 and Win 8.1 for the XPS 8500. So they may not work with Win 10, if that's what you have. The Win 10 driver is here.
@Anonymous - To find your drivers, go to the support page for your specific PC model or enter the Service Tag and then click Drivers & Downloads. Select the version of Windows from the list, and the drivers will be listed below.

@RoHe
I have windows 7x64.
I have the XPS 8700.
The pc came installed with 8.1,
I tired windows 10 about a year after it was released, absolutely hated it.
I tried windows 10 on a clean SSD I had recently bought, so I decided to delete windows 10 and install windows 7 on it.
You mention that the driver exists for windows 7, if so, why does it not work on my pc?

The 2 drivers you linked in your OP are both for the XPS 8500, not for your XPS 8700 so that's why they won't install. The Win 7 64-bit WiFi driver for a 1703 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth4.0 card in the XPS 8700 is here.
And you have to install both the Intel Z87 chipset driver and the Intel AMT HECI driver before you install the WiFi driver. Otherwise, the WiFi driver won't install and/or won't work.

If you are running 8.0 you MUST update to 8.1 as 8.0 is no longer supported.
FXP0D - Atheros AR5B225; DW1703 Mini PCI-E 802.11b/g/n
This package provides Dell DW1703 802.11 b/g/n Bluetooth4.0 Driver and is supported on XPS running Windows 7. More details

Hi Ron,
I would just like to update that I have installed all components in the order you listed, restarted, and it seems that my wifi card is working properly.
However, I think there was a few fails with the bluetooth. No worries on that though as I have a use receiver plugged in.
