XPS 8900, HDD, error code 2000-0142
YUK! What a pain! Same here on XPS 8900 with Toshiba hard drive. Dell support was just about useless. We'll send you a box to ship it to repair site etc.

You replied to an old thread. Started a new one. Dell Technical Support should have at least checked your warranty status and given you the Dell part numbers for replacement HDD for the XPS 8900. Did they do this? Send me via Private Message the service tag number and I can find the HDD part number.
