XPS 8930, CPU upgrade? #9
I have a XPS 8930 desktop. I bought it two years ago. If I want to make perform better, which CPU I can choose to upgrade? Beside the CPU, do you have any good suggestion that I can make this desktop suitable to play some games on it?

RAM 64.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown 1329MHz (19-19-19-43)

Intel UHD Graphics 630 (Dell)
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (ZOTAC International), ForceWare version: 382.05, SLI Disabled

@MrChardonnay - What specs do you have?
Looking at the OP's specs, I'd say a GPU better than the GTX 970 would be a good place to start.
Not clear which is the boot drive in the OP's system, but an NVME SSD with the OS on it would certainly boot faster than booting from a SATA SSD. And an NVME may give better performance in games, especially if the OP's HDD has the OS and games on it.

for gaming improvement you should first consider upgrade gpu than cpu. many options of gpu faster than GTX970. It also depends on which game, which setting, and which resolution you want to play. Name the game you want to play better at and I can find some benchmarks for you.
