XPS 8930, upgrade to an SSD
HI, I have a Dell XPS 8930, and I want to upgrade to a SSD, but I am very much a novice, can people please recommend a 1TB SSD that I can install in my system with the least amount of headaches, Thanks, Ted

going from a 1TB HDD to a 1TB SDD, the HDD drive is a little less than half full, still have almost 600GB, free

Since @Ted01220 did not indicate the size of his HDD it is possible he may not have to expand the C partition on the SSD. Typically the HDD Dell installs is 2 TB and only one partition (a C partition) so hopefully, it is not full otherwise he may have to delete files in order to fit the contents of the HDD onto the 1 TB SSD he is considering. So before changing SATA operation from RAID to AHCI and cloning, I recommend that all user-created data be backed up.
