XPS 8940, SSD in PCIe slot
Does new BIOS 2.6 fix the problem with having a NVMe SSD in the PCIe x4 slot?
My system seems to work OK on BIOS 2.2, but will not install later versions of the BIOS.

No it does not, this issue has not been unaddressed for over a year.
