3 upgrades and compatibility?

XPS 15 9560

XPS 15 9560

Hello Dell Friends; I've determined that my 5 year old laptop (out of warranty) might benefit from the following upgrades;

RAM- G.Skill 16 gb Rip-Jaws

Wifi card- Intel Dual Band AX 1650 x/w or an AC 8260

SSD- unknown manufacturer or model number.

I plan to run only Windows 10 and perform normal pc tasks such as Word or Spreadsheets.

Could any verify the above upgrades and provide current and correct manufacturer's model numbers?

Also, what is the discussion regarding the Wifi card and whether or not 2x2 or 3x3 ports? Thanks

I would tend to be thankful it's still working. Treat it very carefully.

I would not mess with RAM (unless it doesn't have at least 8gb and you are doing something extreme with it) . Definitely would not mess with WiFi card as long as it still connects/works (antennas have to match and all that).

However, if you don't have a SSD-based C-drive, I would definitely upgrade that. That would add some speed and be much faster than any spinning-HDD.
